FIS & Post Graduate Programs

Program Overview

The U18 team at EMSC is a dedicated group of motivated athletes competing in local and regional FIS races. This program provides a pivotal opportunity for major development through a comprehensive regimen of regular conditioning, on-snow training, technical discussions, and video analysis.

New entrants to our U18 level are encouraged to discuss their aspirations with the Alpine U18 team head coach for approval, ensuring a suitable level of skiing experience. Eldora Mountain Ski & Snowboard Club offers flexible, athlete-centered part-time and year-round programming designed to accommodate various pathways, whether transitioning from U16, taking a gap year, or attending CU. Our tailored programs focus on physical conditioning, technical and tactical development, mental skills training, as well as goal setting and performance planning, ensuring each athlete receives the support they need to thrive.

Quality Coaching from Dedicated Staff

Our passionate staff brings years of experience to the U18 team, committed to aiding each athlete's growth. Every training day, athletes receive extensive feedback and support, bolstered by regular video analysis sessions that enhance their skills and understanding.

During races, our support ensures athletes feel fully prepared and confident. Families benefit from clear communication about events, travel plans, and detailed expectations for each training session. We prioritize educational yet enjoyable sessions, injecting variety to keep the training dynamic and engaging. Our goal is to keep the experience fresh and rewarding for all involved, using video analysis as a key tool for continuous improvement on the slopes.

World Class Training Opportunities & Mentorship Opportunities

Our FIS team collaborates closely with the CU ski team, providing a unique opportunity for athletes to train alongside and learn from Division I Alpine skiers. Throughout the season, CU athletes serve as mentors to our Eldora FIS athletes. Training takes place on the same venue as the CU team, often taking advantage of early morning access up Alpenglow for optimal training conditions on hard surfaces, maximizing the productivity of our sessions.
